London Engagement Shoot in Holland Park
It’s been a little quiet here in London on the weddings front since March when lockdown began. On the plus side, couples who have been spending considerable amounts of time together have been moving their relationships forwards into engagements. There is no better way to get to know your partner than 3 months of house arrest - there really is no hiding anything!
I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a couple of engagement sessions in the past couple of months and the most recent was Brittney and David after their recent engagement and before the move back to the US to live, work and get married.
It was a beautiful sunny morning - the best times for engagement shoots are early morning or evening for the loveliest light. First thing in the morning can be particularly special as you can find spots in the city which are virtually deserted at 7am. Brittney and David live in Holland Park so that was the logical spot to take the photographs. We started out in the Park and then headed to Holland Park Mews and finishing up on the beautiful tree lined street where they live.
"...we couldn't be happier with the photos. We will keep them for decades. We went early morning to our local park and the lighting and angles she chose came out as stunning in the photos. She is great to work with, and had a few techniques to make us laugh and relax. She was able to send back the finished copies very quickly, which made for a great experience from start to finish. She is incredibly professional, captures high quality photos, and I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a photographer to capture "in the moment" photos". David
Congratulations if you have recently gotten engaged! If you are looking for a pre-wedding photoshoot or session then please do get in touch to discuss dates and ideas about locations. I am based in East London but happy to travel to a favourite location of yours, or to your home. I tend to work with natural light so the loveliest times to take pictures is in the early morning or golden hour, before sunset.
If you choose early morning then you have the magic of having the city of London all to yourself - which is especially nice if you are a little self conscious! I will plan a route with you so that we can take in a few sites or London spots that are special to you. Or perhaps where you were engaged, or where you met for the first time. We’ll take our time and just go for a relaxed stroll and I’ll take the responsibility of putting you at your ease in order for you to feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.
Some of my favourite places in London to photograph couples includes such landmarks and iconic sites such as Holland Park, the Millennium Bridge, Notting Hill, Shoreditch, the London Eye, Embankment.
If you are only in London for a trip then I can also come along to capture a holiday photo shoot - perfect for instaworthy shares.
As I am a London wedding photographer, an engagement shoot is a perfect way to do a trial session to see how we get on. I discount wedding packages if you have booked and engagement session with me ahead of your wedding.
