Weddings at Aynhoe Park

It had long been my dream to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Aynhoe Park in the Cotswolds. It really is a venue like no other and promises an extraordinary setting and backdrop for a wedding party. It offers a ‘stage set for a spectacle’ and no levels of decor or extravagance look amiss in this beautiful setting which is crammed with art and details that make it a wedding photographers dream. At just 50 minutes from London it’s also a perfect out of town wedding venue.

This wedding was supported by the creative and organisational skills of one of my favourite wedding planners, Alexandra, from The Bijou Bride who is the calmest, most discreet and genuinely warm and lovely people I’ve worked with and who is familiar with Aynhoe Park as a wedding venue.

As well as the bridal party, Tracy’s dog played an important part as the ring bearer for the ceremony and his training paid off as he delivered the ring to the groom, almost without a hitch!

The ceremony itself took place in the Orangery, looking out on the deer filled parklands, and was followed by a feast in the drawing rooms. This hugely stylish couple organised the wedding with Alex’s help in 5 months and every detail was a nod to their relationship and passions. Alex said: “We used their unique love story and favourite things to inspire the elegant design and styling with details that told of the groom’s history with classic cars and the bride’s favourite childhood story of Alice in Wonderland, a James Bond-themed first date and the star of the show, their beloved dog Monty who acted as ring bearer”.

There were so many great suppliers involved in creating such a beautiful wedding at Aynhoe Park for me to photograph, not least the planning and design which was one of my favourite planners, The Bijou Bride. The beautiful florals for the bridal bouquet, the dining room and the flower arch were by Early Hours. The Stationery inspired by Alice in Wonderland was by  EG Lettering. During the ceremony we were serenaded by string quartet  Storm via Bands For Hire . I was extremely lucky to have my best second photographer available to shoot with me, a number of his images feature in this wedding post - thank you Lee Meek as ever!

If you are planning to have your wedding at Aynhoe Park then I’d love to chat to you about your photography and help capture your vision with pictures that you can cherish for a lifetime.
