Somerset Wedding Photography ~ A English Country Garden Wedding for Leo and Douglas
Literally my favourite sort of wedding - an intimate gathering in a private home with all the little personal touches that make a wedding day special and memorable. I was thrilled when Leo asked me to be her wedding photographer. We've been working together for the last three and a half years professionally in her roles in PR and more recently at Pernod Ricard. It probably felt a little strange for her to be the subject of my lens for a change!
Three days before the wedding I had a call from Leo suggesting that I pack my wellies - the wedding venue (a beautiful house in Somerset previously owned by her grandmother and now on generous loan for the wedding day) had a river running through it - through the field and through the marquee. All hands on deck meant a pipe was laid and the flooring laid out to dry but alternatives were already being considered.... but as the day dawned it could not have been more perfect for a summer garden party. Bright sunshine, blue skies, lovely sunset and guests enjoying the beautiful gardens. Hours of lawn games, champagne and cake followed by delicious bbq lamb and salads all danced off with a very lively ceilidh at sunset.
Please get in touch if you would like to talk to me about your wedding photography.
